In a globalizing world, individuals who understand international relations and can design the right actions by following and analyzing rapidly changing developments have become the people needed in every field and sector. As Özyeğin University Department of International Relations, we aim to educate individuals who are pioneering, inquisitive, and have universal qualities, and more importantly, to create good citizens. Our department comprises renowned academics with broad research interests in a wide range of topics and strong global connections with the media, civil society, the private sector, and the public sector. Together with our students, we conduct pioneering research on global politics, diplomacy, international economics, human rights, environmental policies, security, regional studies, international law and civil society, as well as advanced projects supported by national and international institutions. Our students are trained as international relations specialists with a solid basic background that supports lifelong learning, up-to-date knowledge, problem-solving, and communication skills. We are proud of our graduates who have publications while they are still undergraduate students, take part in projects, make presentations at conferences, are accepted to graduate programs of prestigious universities and succeed in these programs, work in international organizations, establish their own businesses, and make a difference in every field they work in.
