Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law

In 2015, she completed her undergraduate studies at Galatasaray University Faculty of Law. She then pursued a master’s degree in Law at Istanbul Bilgi University, which she received in 2018. Her thesis explored the “The Principle of Ne Bis In Idem in the Context of Turkish Criminal Law” and it was later published as a book by On İki Levha Publishing in 2021. In 2024, she earned her Ph.D. in Public Law Program at Galatasaray University Institute of Social Sciences with her thesis titled “Reliability of Witness Statement in Criminal Procedure Law”. During her Ph.D. research period, she received a TÜBİTAK scholarship which allowed her to visit Eberhard Karls Universitaet Tübingen for around one year covering 2022 and 2023 as a doctoral researcher. She held a position as a research assistant in the Department of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law at Istanbul Bilgi University between 2017-2024. Her recent research interests include interviewing vulnerable victims, the legal principle of legality in criminal law, connections between the principle of ne bis in idem and the institution of ideal concurrence.
