Parviz Elahi received his Ph.D. in atomic physics, lasers, and optics from Shiraz University, Iran, in 2005. He served as an Assistant professor in Iran from 2005 to 2010. He worked at the Ultrafast Optics and Laser Laboratory at Bilkent University between 2010 and 2020. In 2020, he joined the Physics Department at Boğaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey, where he founded the Fiber Lasers Laboratory. In 2024, he relocated his research laboratory and joined the Faculty of Engineering at Özyeğin University.
Dr Elahi’s research focuses on fiber laser development and applications in experiment and theory. His research expertise includes CW and ultrafast fiber laser development, laser-matter interaction, laser applications in medicine, industry, agriculture, food science, and fiber laser-based optical trapping.
