Prof. Dr. Özlem Yenerer Çakmut,  Bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Law started in 1988, graduated in 1992. Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences began her master’s degree at the Department of Public Law, “Criminal Procedure Law Housing Search and Immunity” has completed her thesis work. Prof.Dr. Çakmut began at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences at the Department of Public Law a Ph.D program. Her thesis name was “Investigation of The Criminal Law of Consent to Medical Treatment”. In this process, Dr.Çakmut was working in Germany (Freiburg in BRS, and Cologne). In 1994, she began working at Marmara University Law Faculty as a Research Assistant in the Department of Criminal and Criminal Procedure Law.
 
In January of 2009, Dr.Çakmut became an Associate Professor. Her thesis name was “Determination of Paternity and Changing the Crime of Paternity of The Child”. She became a Professor in 2014. Her thesis name was “Disturing The Tranquility and Peace of People and Creating  Noise Crimes”. Dr.Çakmut studies in Criminal Law and especially medicine/concentrated in the areas of Health Law.
