Dr. Kaan Ozgun obtained his B.FA. from Bilkent University, Department of Fine Art in Urban Design & Landscape Architecture, M.A. in Landscape Architecture from Anhalt University of Applied Science in Germany, and Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Australia. After completing his Ph.D. Dr. Ozgun joined the University of Queensland (UQ), School of Architecture where he continued his studies on Green Infrastructure planning for enhancing flood/drought resilience under the auspices of Collaborative Research Center for Water Sensitive Cities (CRCWSC). He also taught undergraduate design studios and M.Arch research selective courses both at QUT and UQ in Australia. Since February 2021, Dr.Ozgun has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Architecture for Ozyegin University (OzU). His areas of specialty are landscape architecture, planning and design. His research focuses on green infrastructure planning, design, and assessment for sustainable and resilient cities, interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary/multidisciplinary design research methods, advanced spatial analyses and using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), mapping and cartography, contemporary landscape architecture theory and practice.
