Associate Professor. İpek Sevda SÖĞÜT completed her undergraduate education in Istanbul University Faculty of Law, which she started in 1996, in 2000. She completed her Master's Degree, which she started at Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Private Law, by successfully presenting his thesis titles "Arbitration in Roman Law". Afterwards, she was entitled to a doctorate in Marmara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Private Law. She completed her doctoral thesis titled "Legal Instruments for the Protection of the Environment in Roman Law" and graduated in 2012. In 2004, she started to work as a Research Assistant at Kadir Has University, Faculty of Law, Department of Roman Law; She was appointed as Assistant Professor in 2013. She was a visiting researcher and postdoctoral fellow at Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law/Hamburg and Max Planck Institute for European Legal History/Frankfurt in 2018 and 2019. She completed her habilitation work on ”Exceptio Doli Generalis in Roman Law” and received the title of Associate Professor from the Interuniversity Board in 2020. She received her second undergraduate degree in Philosophy in 2021. Assoc.Prof.Dr.SÖĞÜT has national and international works published in the fields of Roman Law, Medical Law and Biomedical Law, and has national and international presentations.
