Dr. Ilker Hamzaoglu obtained B.S. and M.S. degrees in Computer Engineering from Bogazici University in 1991 and 1993, respectively. He obtained Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999. He worked as a Senior and Principle Staff Engineer at Motorola Inc. in Schaumburg, Illinois between August 1999 and August 2003. He worked in Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabanci University as an Assistant Professor between September 2003 and April 2013, and as an Associate Professor between May 2013 and January 2023. He is working as a Professor in Faculty of Engineering at Ozyegin University since February 2023. Dr. Ilker Hamzaoglu’s research areas are Digital Hardware Design, Video Compression, Approximate Computing, High Level Synthesis
