Hülya Yavaş obtained her B.Sc. from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Architecture in 2019. She took place as a researcher at AURA Istanbul Architecture and Urbanism Research Academy in the spring semester of 2019 and produced a research project entitled as “Sensorial Experiment About Istanbul: Multi-Sensorial Representations of Place through Synesthetic Experiences”. She completed her master’s thesis entitled "Transforming States of Spatial Reality: Extreme Spaces of Extreme Minds" at ITU Architectural Design Program in 2023. Her research interests focus on atypical forms of (spatial) perception, neuroarchitecture, and cognitive neuroscience.
