Elif ALTINOK ÇALIŞKAN graduated from Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Law with a degree in 2006 and completed her master's degree in Istanbul Kültür University Institute of Social Sciences Public Law Master's Program in 2008 with her thesis on "Consequences of Annulment Decisions in Administrative Justice". Afterwards, she was accepted to the PhD Program in Public Law at Istanbul Kültür University Institute of Social Sciences and successfully defended her thesis on " Administrative Function And Power Regarding Refugees and Asylum Seekers and Jurisdictional Control" and received the title of doctor in 2013. 
In 2006, she started to work as a research assistant at Istanbul Kültür University Faculty of Law, where she worked as a research assistant, assistant professor and doctoral, faculty member in the field of Administrative Law until 2023. She served in administrative positions such as Advisor to the Rector, Vice Dean and member of the Faculty Board of Directors.  In February 2024, she was appointed as a faculty member at Özyeğin University Faculty of Law, Department of Administrative Law. Her research interests include Administrative Law, Administrative Jurisdiction Law, Disciplinary Law, Personal Data Protection Law.
