Dr. Burçin Mızrak Bilen has obtained her B.Arch. degree in 2009, from Middle East Technical University Faculty of Architecture Department of Architecture; and completed her M.Sc. in Architecture study in 2012, with her thesis called “Where We Grow Up Does Really Matter: Child Friendly Cities And A Proposal For Tarlabasi Istanbul” from Milan Technical University School of Architecture and Construction Engineering Architecture Program. She has received her Ph.D. in Architecture degree in 2018, with her doctoral thesis named “A Power-Centered Approach to the Capitalization of Climate Change in Property Sector and Strategic Limitation” from Bauhaus-Weimar University Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism. Between the years 2009-2012, she worked in small-scale interior design studios in Milan. And between the years of 2013-2018, she worked as a research and teaching assistant at Yildiz Technical University in the Department of Architecture. Her researches focused on child friendly spaces, sustainable architecture and the valuation of intangibles in architectural design.
