Program Outcomes

  • To have knowledge about the concepts related to the visual, spatial, sound, and motion aspects of digital technology, as well as interactive and temporal elements/features and the principles of their use in creating and applying digital media-based works.
  • To understand narrative and other information/language structures for organizing content in time-based or interactive media and to have the ability to manage and represent content structures in ways that are sensitive to technological, social, and cultural systems.
  • To understand the features and capacities of various technologies (hardware and software); their suitability for specific meaningful, functional, and strategic applications; their positions in broader contexts and systems, and their impacts on individuals and society.
  • To know the development and coordination processes of digital-based art and design strategies (e.g., visual storyboarding, conceptual mapping, use of scenarios and personas).
  • To have the ability to analyze and synthesize aspects of human interactions related to communication, objects, and environments provided through technology in various contexts (physical, cognitive, social, political, and economic).
  • To understand what is usable, useful, effective, and desirable regarding user/audience-centered digital-based communication, objects, and environments.
  • To know history, theory, and criticism related to film, video, technology, digital art, and design.
  • To have the ability to work in teams and organize collaboration among people from different disciplines.
