ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is an EU funded cross-border exchange program which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from the seasoned entrepreneurs across Europe.
What is in the ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs?
The ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs program brings together experienced entrepreneurs with new or aspiring entrepreneurs across Europe. Participants not only exchange information and experience, but also have access to new markets in Europe. The exchange takes place at a host business, and lasts for a period of 1 to 6 months. During the exchange, entrepreneurs interact with experienced entrepreneurs and learn how to run a small firm.
The ERASMUS for Young Entrepreneurs program is funded by the European Union. Özyeğin University was actively involved in the project until 2018 and provided support and coordination over the course of the application and exchange period for both the new/aspiring entrepreneurs who wish to go on an exchange, and the experienced entrepreneurs who wish to be a host for new/aspiring entrepreneurs in Turkey.
What are the benefits of the program for participants?
During your time with an experienced entrepreneur, you will learn how to successfully run a small-medium sized enterprise. You will learn more about the host country’s market, develop independent projects, conduct market research, and hone your skills in business development. The exchange is planned for a period of 1 to 6 months depending on the needs of both entrepreneurs, and funded within the scope of the Erasmus program. The exchange of information and experience helps participants to successfully launch their business ideas in the world of business.
Who can participate?
Entrepreneurs who reside or run a business in the European Union or one of program participating countries.
New Entrepreneurs: The term "new entrepreneur” refers to both nascent entrepreneurs with a viable business idea, who are firmly planning to start a new business, or those who set up their own business in the last three years.
