We Visited Anıtkabir under the Leadership of Our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk

As Özyeğin University, we organized a day trip to Anıtkabir, the eternal resting place of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, under the leadership of our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk as part of the 100th-anniversary celebrations of our Republic and the 15th-anniversary celebrations of our university. In this memorable event that occurred on Saturday, May 18, 2024, Özyeğin University was represented by our students, academics, administrative staff, and alumni.

The protocol ceremony at Anıtkabir involved placing a wreath on Atatürk’s mausoleum. Upon the ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Gençtürk wrote the following lines in the Anıtkabir Book:

“Founder of our Republic and our Great Leader Atatürk,

We humbly stand before your esteemed presence with a delegation representing students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Özyeğin University, which forges ahead tirelessly on the trail you blazed 105 years ago in Samsun to set our nation on the path to independence.

With our unflagging commitment to the principles and revolutions that shaped your greatest legacy; our Republic; we draw inspiration from your profound wisdom as our revered head teacher and cultivate new generations that are ‘in thought, free in conscience, and free in knowledge’ for they stand as the ultimate assurance of both our present and our future.

We extend our boundless respect, profound love, and unwavering gratitude before your esteemed memory.
