Our Rector Prof. Esra Gençtürk Hosts the Board of the 10,000 Women Entrepreneurs Association on Our Campus

Representatives from the Board of the 10,000 Women Entrepreneurs Association visited Özyeğin University on May 22, 2024. Hosted by our Rector, Prof. Esra Gençtürk, along with our Rector-Elect, Prof. Barış Tan, in attendance, the meeting provided a platform to discuss potential areas for collaboration.

The meeting featured Sevim Erengil, President of the 10,000 Women Entrepreneurs Association, Vice President Neval Karagöz, Secretary General Selma Cengiz, and Board Members Sevilay Atamer Suiçmez and Nilüfer Birinci. Discussions focused on the association’s goals and potential collaborative projects with Özyeğin University.

Held at the L’Atelier Bleu Restaurant of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Özyeğin University, the meeting also allowed our guests to savor a diverse selection of international cuisines presented by our young chefs trained at the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The 10,000 Women Entrepreneurs Association was founded by the graduates of the “10,000 Women Entrepreneur Certificate Program,” implemented globally by the Goldman Sachs Foundation and launched jointly with Özyeğin University in Türkiye. The association aims to foster communication, collaboration, and support networks among women entrepreneurs, empowering women and strengthening their position in the national and global economy. Committed to supporting women in overcoming all challenges they face in the business world, the association strives to create a national and international communication network among women entrepreneurs to continuously improve employment, productivity, and quality.
