Özyeğin University Faculty Member Associate Prof. Akın Ünver Accepted to the Board of the European Cyber Conflict Research Incubator CIC

Associate Prof. Akın Ünver, a faculty member at the Department of International Relations at Özyeğin University, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the European Cyber Conflict Research Incubator CIC (ECCRI) at Oxford University.

ECCRI CIC was founded in 2018 at Oxford University with the aim of conducting, facilitating, and promoting research and education for European Union (EU) policymakers, industry, civil society, and scientific researchers. It is a non-profit research group that advances the interdisciplinary study of the impact of digital and emerging technologies on global affairs, in Europe and beyond. ECCRI CIC coordinates the European Cybersecurity Seminars organized by Google and designs the industrial R&D processes for universities and cybersecurity curricula for international organizations across Europe.

Associate Prof. Akın Ünver will be accompanied by esteemed colleagues on the Board of ECCRI CIC, including Dr. Max Smeets from ETH-Zurich, Prof. Madeline Carr from University College London, Prof. Andrew Martin and Roxana Radu from Oxford University, and James Shires from Harvard University. Board members are tasked with designing Google’s cybersecurity training curricula across Europe and selecting universities to offer these training programs.
