Nergis Uyan, the Director of ScOLa, Selen Şirin Dülger, Serkan Aras, and Sultan Zeydan, the line managers of ScOLa at Özyeğin University, organized a training for the School of Languages directors with the grant received from Eaquals.

Özyeğin University School of Languages has been awarded a grant from Eaquals (Excellence in Language Education) to provide training aimed at enhancing academic management competency in Turkish Higher Education. The training, titled "(Re)Defining Institutional Effectiveness - Agility & Adaptability - Academic Management Competency Framework," designed by Nergis Uyan, Selen Şirin Dülger, Serkan Aras, and Sultan Zeydan, was delivered in collaboration with Özyeğin University School of Languages, Eaquals, and Macmillan Education between November 25 and December 3, 2023. Thirty-three participants representing 29 institutions from across Turkey and Northern Cyprus attended the event organized at Bostancı Dedeman Hotel. Through a combination of online and face-to-face sessions, participants gained valuable insights on identifying academic staff needs and implementing effective professional development programs in their institutions.
