Summer School 2023 - Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Finland: ICT Summer School 2023

We would like to share with all our students the announcement regarding the ICT Summer School at Metropolia UAS sent from one of our partner institutions Metropolia University of Applied Sciences (Finland). You can find the information and details provided by the partner institution below.

Should you wish to apply to the ICT Summer School, please notify OzU International Exchange Programs Office at international.relations@ozu.edu.tr by May 24th, Wednesday, by 15:00. Since the host institution requires a confirmation email from our office you should inform us before May 24th, Wednesday.

Please note that we, as the International Exchange Programs Office, do not have any information other than that provided to us. Therefore, should you need any further details, please contact the Metropolia University of Applied Sciences directly.

Please be informed that applications will only be taken into consideration if the summer school courses you have taken at Metropolia are transferred to Özyeğin. The transfer and adaptation of the courses and credits taken at the summer school to OzU are optional and are subject to approval by the OzU Faculty/School/Graduate School. If you would like to get the summer school courses and credits transferred to your OzU transcript, you should contact the administration of your Faculty/School/Graduate School to learn about the procedure before you register for a course at a summer school.

ICT Sumer School at Metropolia UAS is here again in August 2023. You are kindly invited to participate!

The list of courses offered and other information can be found on the ICT Summer School website. All courses in the ICT Summer School are taught in English.

Note: Most courses are offered on campus only, while some are online only. ICT Summer School courses are held in the Metropolia Myyrmäki campus in the city of Vantaa.

Time: 1 - 25 August 2023
Application period: 2 May - 4 June 2023
Target group: Students who want to study in an international atmosphere and are interested in information and communication technologies.
Fee: No tuition fees for students of Metropolia’s partner universities, but participating students need to pay for their travel, accommodation, and subsistence expenses.

Application
Students from partner universities register with an online form:
  - Choose the Academic year 2023-2024 and the Autumn semester
  - Choose "Technology" as the Field of study at Metropolia
  - Choose "ICT Summer School" as the Purpose of the short-term mobility period
  - Choose "Information and Communications Technology, 0610" as a Degree program at Metropolia

The deadline for applications is 4 June 2023. Applicants will be informed during June to which courses they are selected for. Please note! The most popular courses can fill up quickly so it is good to register as early as possible.

Since there are no tuition fees for students from partner universities, applicants need to provide us with confirmation from their home university that:
  1- they are degree students there,
and that
  2- the home university approves their participation in the ICT Summer School at Metropolia.

Without a nomination from the home university, applications cannot be considered.
