ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility

1.      Staff Mobility for Teaching
2.      Staff Mobility for Training

Our academic policies support short and long-term mobility, joint research projects, and participation in consortiums of higher education and research. In line with our innovative and entrepreneurial vision and emphasis on applied research, collaboration with industry and business at the global arena is encouraged.

Below you will find introductory information about staff exchanges within the framework of Erasmus+. One type of exchange is particular to teaching activities (either by faculty or invited staff from enterprises) whereas the other one is for either academic or administrative staff to receive training in another higher education institution or an organization.

Application
The International Exchange and Partnership Programs Office announces staff mobility and collects applications each year. Application documents are below:

  1. Invitation Letter from the host institution (required)
  2. Language Certificate (if applicable)
  3. Disabled Identity Card (if applicable)
  4. Veteran/martyr identity card (if applicable).

1.      Staff Mobility for Teaching

This activity allows HEI academic staff or staff from enterprises to teach at a partner HEI abroad. Staff mobility for teaching can be in any subject area/academic discipline. In the case of teaching assignments between higher education institutions in Program Countries, both institutions have to be holders of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) and must have signed an inter-institutional agreement. The partner higher education institution/enterprise must have agreed on the program of activities to be undertaken by the visiting teachers (Mobility Agreement) prior to the start of the mobility period. In all cases, the activities of staff undertaking a teaching assignment should preferably be integrated into the curriculum of the receiving institution. In the case of staff mobility from an enterprise to a higher education institution, the mobility is arranged by an invitation from the higher education institution to the staff member of the enterprise. The grant is always managed by the higher education institution. You may review the announcement for Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Mobility Applications on Myozu.

Duration of Mobility
A teaching period between two Programme countries must last a minimum of 2 days and a maximum of 2 months. This excludes traveling time. During your stay abroad, the teaching activity must comprise a minimum of 8 hours per week (or any shorter period of stay) of actual teaching time. Mobilities shorter than 2 days will not be considered valid unless there is a force major.

Financial Support (Erasmus Grant)
EU grants provide a contribution to your costs for travel and subsistence during your time abroad and vary depending on:

  • The receiving country
  • The distance between your country and the receiving country

The daily mobility grant (country-based per diem) amounts are stated below. In addition to the per diem rates, the grant covers travel expenses calculated by the European Commission’s distance calculator. Additional funding can be provided by the participating staff and/or his/her department/faculty if the financial support does not cover the full teaching period.

Please be informed that the given amounts for Daily Grants and Travel Support Grants are valid for the 2022 project period.
