School of Foreign Languages Director
The majority of post secondary education institutions in Turkey offering instruction in a foreign language prefers English as their language of instruction. Özyeğin University has also chosen English, the academic lingua franca, as its language of instruction and decided to develop a high-quality program in quest to offer a top-notch English education for its students.Starting from the question of “What kind of faculty should we create, which methods should we apply and what should be our priorities in quest to provide our students with the education we desire?” we have brought together highly qualified, distinguished instructors who are either native or who possess English proficiency at a native speaker level, who obtained their degrees from the top universities in their fields of expertise, who closely follow and apply new developments in language instruction, and who are eager to constantly learn and develop themselves.
We have adopted the best practices in foreign language instruction from all around the world and acquired all necessary innovations including tools, equipments and resources in pursuit of offering our students a unique learning experience in high-tech classrooms.
In addition to our commitment to offer a high-caliber language education through our distinguished instructors and state-of-the-art instruction methods, we aspire to prepare our students as creative and innovative individuals who are well-prepared for both the academic and business world, who can reason, think critically, question, and take responsibility and accountability of their academic studies. To that end, we endeavor to provide our students with all the necessary support by working one-on-one with them and offer guidance to them based on their personal needs.
