She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Bilkent University, where she pioneered intracavity optical trapping techniques. Since 2020 she has held research positions at institutions including the Technical University of Denmark and Bogazici University, where she led projects in nanoscale optical trapping and quantum sensing with nanodiamonds. She worked on free radical detection in living cells using NV diamond sensing, on the study of cellular dynamics using nanodiamond trapping and spectroscopy. She joined Ozyegin in 2024 with a strong background in developing experimental setups and she specializes in optical trapping, fluorescent microscopy, spectroscopy, and is interested in the biomedical applications of those optical sensing techniques.
