Erdi Yetkin received his bachelor's degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 2014, graduating in 4th place. He received his master's degree from Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences in 2017 with his study titled “Crime against the government under the Turkish Penal Code”. From 01.09.2021 to 30.11.2021 in Vienna, as a scholar of OEAD (Austria’s Agency for Education and Internationalisation - Österreichs Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung), he carried out research for his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alexander Tipold at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology (Universität Wien - Institut für Strafrecht und Kriminologie) of the University of Vienna. Moreover, from 01.02.2022 to 01.02.2023 in Berlin, as a scholar of TUBITAK and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service - Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst), he carried out research for his doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Luis Greco at the Chair of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure Law, Foreign Criminal Law and Criminal Law Theory (Lehrstuhl für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht, ausländisches Strafrecht und Strafrechtstheorie) at Humboldt University (Humboldt Universität zu Berlin). In 2023, he received his PhD degree in Public Law from Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences with his study titled “Criminal responsibility based on preparatory acts in the scope of criminal tutelage anticipation”. Erdi Yetkin, who is currently working at Istanbul Gedik University Faculty of Law, Department of Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law, has studies on criminal law, criminal procedure law, preparatory acts, transformation of criminal law, political crimes, organized crimes, police law, human rights law.
