Having gained experience in some areas of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Dr. Reza Bayat started his Ph.D. in Information-Theoretic view of networked processing and defended his dissertation in 2019.  He earned a Master’s in 2D array signal processing while doing applied research on RF-acoustics buoys for continuously monitoring dam environments.  He got a Bachelor’s degree with two final projects: a software package for electronics design automation; design and implementation of a wireless digital transceiver.  His hands-on experience spans areas and applications within radio and wireless; embedded software; circuit and system design; EMC measures for circuit and PCB design; BMS for BESS and EVs; and IoT.  Dr. Bayat taught Electrical Engineering courses and worked on educational electronics hardware for pedagogical purposes.  Dr. Bayat's core research theme involves applying Communications and Systems Engineering concepts to address scientific and engineering challenges within the industry and academia.

Recently, Dr. Bayat’s research has focused on the theoretical and technical knowledge areas related to apparatuses for quantum optics applications in space and lab environments.
