Industrial Engineering PhD Program Graduate Dr. Sırma Karakaya Won “EURO WISDOM YW4OR-Young Researcher Award”

Dr. Sırma Karakaya, a PhD graduate in the Industrial Engineering Program at Özyeğin University, has won the YoungWomen4OR 2024 Young Researcher Award given by EURO WISDOM (Women in Society: Doing Operational Research and Management Science) Forum. The YoungWomen4OR Initiative, which supports early-career female researchers in the field of Operational Research, recognizes 12 researchers each year based on an evaluation of their current work and future plans. Dr. Karakaya’s research interests center around mathematical optimization model applications on healthcare management and disaster response problems.
