Instructor Tekin Ertan Awarded Honorary Membership (Membre d’Honneur) of Skål International

Tekin Ertan, an instructor at the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Özyeğin University, was awarded the Honorary Membership (Membre d’Honneur) of Skål International at the 83rd Skål International World Congress 2024, held in Izmir between 16-21 October 2024. Instructor Ertan received his award at the congress attended by approximately 300 guests, including tour operators, the accommodation sector, airlines, destination and restaurant officials, tour companies, academics, researchers, and tourist guides. He was first nominated for this award by Skål International Ankara and then selected by delegate votes from other Skål Clubs worldwide.

Founded on December 16, 1932, in Paris as the Skål Club and renamed ‘Association Internationale des Skål Clubs’ (International Association of Skål Clubs) on April 28, 1934, Skål International today operates as the oldest non-governmental organization of tourism professionals with over 12,384 members in 83 countries around the world. The title of Membre d’Honneur of Skål International may only be awarded to an active or retired member for their distinguished services to the Skål Movement.
