COST Action Project, with Prof. Güney Güven Yapıcı on the Management Committee, Officially Launched

The EU-funded COST Action project “Fatigue Benchmark Repository” officially launched on September 25, 2024. Prof. Güney Güven Yapıcı, Chair of the Mechanical Engineering Department and Director of the Additive Manufacturing Alloys Development, Application, and Research Center (KİMTAL) at Özyeğin University, is part of the project’s international application team. Prof. Yapıcı has also been appointed as a management committee member representing Türkiye in the project.

Running until September 2028, the FABER project aims to build a large, reliable database of experimental fatigue data to enable better fatigue estimation and analysis methods.
