Assistant Prof. Doğa Dinemis Aman’s Team Honored with First Prize in "5 Ocak Park and Surroundings Urban Design Competition"

The team that included Assistant Prof. Doğa Dinemis Aman from the Faculty of Architecture and Design was honored with first prize in the “5 Ocak Park and Surroundings Urban Design Competition”, an open, international, two-stage design competition run by the Department of Survey and Projects at the Adana Metropolitan Municipality to commemorate the centenary of the liberation of the city.

The project “Turuncu” (Orange) aims to strengthen the park’s relation with the nearby stream and increase biodiversity and disaster resilience. The project also creates a robust pedestrian corridor with its holistic urban design strategy which places a special focus on the improvement of ecological conditions. The winners were announced on March 18, 2022 and the project Turuncu was recognized with first prize out of nine finalist projects that advanced to the second phase of the competition.
