Let’s Be Together at the Final Webinar of the Semester on the Last Day of Spring Semester Classes

Mr. Hüsnü Özyeğin, Chair of our Board of Trustees, and Two Entrepreneurial OzU Members Will Be With You at the Panel Discussion “The Importance of Entrepreneurship under the Changing Circumstances with COVID-19”  

Dear 2020 Graduation Candidates, and OzU Members,

Each year, at the end of the Spring semester, we hold a special event on campus for our graduation candidates. This year, in line with the current circumstances, we will hold our annual event as a webinar. As this year’s event will be hosted free from physical space, in addition to our graduation candidates, we would like also invite all OzU members to our event.  

We specifically scheduled this event for the last of Spring Semester classes, for we wanted to create an occasion to celebrate together the conclusion of a semester that presented us with its unique challenges and different experiences, and offer an opportunity to come together, even though it will be online, before the final examinations.  

The hallmark event of our Spring semesters will feature Mr. Hüsnü Özyeğin, Chair of our Board of Trustees, this year, who will accompany our invited speakers. But, unlike previous years, this year, Hüsnü Özyeğin will be the moderator of our panel discussion.

At this panel, we will talk about the effects of the pandemic on many areas, in particular on business life and business opportunities, and discuss possible precautions and solutions to minimize these effects. At this year’s panel discussion, we wanted to focus on “entrepreneurship”, a core value we adopt as an important philosophy, and a valuable competency, perhaps more so during the crisis periods, and its consequences. Our panel discussion “The Importance of Entrepreneurship Under the Changing Circumstances with COVID-19”  will also feature two OzU members who have internalized the entrepreneurship philosophy and put it into action within their fields.    

I invite you all to our panel discussion with Aslı Zuluğ, who serves a successful example with her venture PACHA Chips, and Umut Ali Kal, our graduate of 2019 and co-founder of “Anlık App”.
